The families at the villages around the Good Samaritan School are extremely poor and most of them cannot afford education for their children. Many of the children have lost at least one of their parents. Therefore these children cannot have access to education, which is not free in Uganda.
By sponsoring a child you can give the child education, food and a better future. By paying 30 euros every month, a sponsor can give his/her sponsoring child education, a school uniform, books, pencils, lunch and medications. Please note that your money is only used for your child. Administrative costs are covered from other sources - a big difference to the big organizations.
If you sponsor a child, you will receive photographs, school reports and family news of your sponsor child. Moreover, Kenneth Twijukye will send you messages from your sponsor child about every two months and you will be able to reply to your child’s messages through Kenneth. If you send an additional gift to your sponsor child, Kenneth will send you pictures of your child with the gift. Sending additional gifts and messages to your sponsor child is not obligatory.
In order to send the monthly amount to Kenneth Twijukye you can make a bank transfer on the 1st of each month. Transaction costs can be saved if 90 euros are transferred quarterly. We recommend
Transferwise as a method for transferring the money online to the Good Samaritan School’s bank account as Transferwise has lower fees and good exchange rates. You can also use Western Union but the exchange rates and the fees are more costly. Transfers work in UGX (Ugandan Schilling) or USD
There are 3 pre-classes (baby class, middle class and top class) as well as primary first and primary second class.
